We had a nice reunion with Uncle Joel (Jodi's little brother) last night. He goes to school in Las Vegas and is home for the holidays. It had been 7 months since we'd seen him so he pretty much had to reintroduce himself to the kids. Austin warmed up quick and put him to work right away drawing trains on the chalkboard.
We love and miss you Uncle Joel and want you to move back home where you belong! :)
As I'm writing this the snow is coming down in buckets! It is so beautiful to watch. This morning Shawn, Austin and I went outside to play and go sledding--it was so fun. Little Riley was inside taking a nap so he missed all the action this time. It's a good thing though because despite what I wrote in the last post about the kids finally being healthy.....well, that same day they both came down with bad colds AGAIN. Argh. We just can't win, can we?
Here are some fun pictures of our snow adventures so far.....I see more sledding in the near future!
The cute little girls on the sled with Austin are our neighbors Anna and Julia.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season so far. We sure are! Thought I'd post some pictures from the last couple weeks of us doing "Christmasy" stuff. The kids are finally NOT sick which has been wonderful. Seriously, the past 2 1/2 months have been crazy with at least one of the kids having a cold. They kept passing those yucky germs back and forth to each other but I think we are FINALLY on the mend. Blessings to you all!
Shawn and I have been married for 10 years and have 2 little boys. Austin is almost 4 and is such a smart, energetic little guy. He absolutely loves going to preschool and he amazes us every day with his knowledge! Sometimes it scares us...could it be he is smarter than us!? Riley is almost 2 and has no problem keeping up with his big brother. He wants to do everything Austin does and even has the same love of books. He is such a joy and quite a handful!
We are enjoying parenthood greatly and are just trying to take it all in, create memories, and have fun with our boys. We like to spend time with our extended families and friends and we go to a church (Puget Sound Christian Center) that we absolutely love.
We are incredibly blessed.
